Hi there,
I am starting to fine-tune the pages for a friends website I am building for him using Vantage Premium (excellent by the way, thanks very much indeed!)
There is a stack of icons to choose from in the drop-down list when using the Circle Icon Widget – is there some way of browsing the icons visually so that I can make a choice much quicker without having to go through each one, update the page and then load it just to see what the icon looks like?
Apologies for the noob question, I appreciate any pointers in the right direction.
Kind regards,
James
OK, I think I found it:
http://fontawesome.io/icons/
So the Vantage default icon called “Edit” would be a combination of:
Web Applications \ fa-pencil-square-o and fa-circle-o using black as the colour?
Thanks very much.
Kind regards,
James
Hi James
That’s it!
If you’d prefer to visually select your icons please try the Features Icon in our new widget bundle plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/. Greg went all out and included several icon libraries in there so the choices are huge.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks very much for the pointer to your plugin – I installed it and got it working, this will be very handy indeed!
All the best.
Kind regards,
James
Super, glad you’ll be able to use the new widget bundle plugin.
All the best.
Hello andrew, is there a way to have the features widget display the icon to the left or right of the text. Thanks.
Sorry, not yet. I’ll follow-up on that feature request now. If you’re using Vantage you could fall back to the older Circle Icon widget which has those options. Apologies, this should be in the Features widget.
Hi, I’m seeing the BED or HOTEL sign in the list, which would be ideal for my hotel website ;)
Any chance you are going to update the available icons soon, so I can actually use that? Thanks!!
ps your themes are great!!
pps any chance you will ever make a MAGAZINE theme? Like your Photo-theme but with text inside? I’m using Fullby now on another site but it kinda sucks… Thanks!!
Hi Gijs
Great to hear from you. Please, try the SiteOrigin Features widget instead, it’s part of the SiteOrigin Widgets bundle and has updated icons.
No magazine theme being produced right now, but, we’re doing lots of new things at the moment so it’s possible we could make one later in the year.
