How do you add a sidebar to posts?

9 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 9 years ago

Hi guys,

Would you tell me how to add a sidebar to posts instead of adding a sidebar to pages? Or even better, if we can add a sidebar to certain page (e.g. blog, etc.)? I did research but I couldn’t figure out how. I prefer a solution that doesn’t require installing other plugins or files to our server.

An example of a post or page where I want to add a sidebar is

Chatterbox #183 – Comedy

We love your product.

Thanks in advance!

Yoshi

    Hi Yoshi,

Thank you for the kind words! :)

It sounds like you’re after WooSidebars. It’s a bit of a complicated plugin but it’ll allow you to specifically custom sidebars for pages (as per your criteria). I would recommend giving the documentation a read.

Please note that an empty widget area will result in Vantage hiding the sidebar so either keep the default sidebar blank (and replace it for all other pages) or replace the default sidebar on pages with a blank widget area.
