How do I get the original css file again

9 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 9 years ago

I’ve been playing with the css editor and have changed the background colors on many things. Like an idiot, I did not think to make a backup first.

I want to revert back to original css that came with the theme installation.

I have actually deleted the Vantage theme folder on the server using cpanel and then reinstalled the Vantage theme. Much to my suprise..the site is still picking up the ‘edited’ verion.

I simply want to start from scratch with a new copy of Vantage.

How do I do this? I even deleted that pages that I built using pagebuilder that first time around. I am obviously missing some basic concept of how things work.

Do I have to actually uninstall wordpress and start right from step one?

Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Hi Jason,

It sounds like you’ve used the CSS editor included with the theme. You can make adjustments (read: blank it) to it by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS.

    Thanks for quick reply.

I deleted the contents of the css and it brought the original settings back.

Exactly what I was looking for.

    Thank you
