How do I change my breadcrumb path?

Currently, my breadcrumb path is not what the user clicks on. It changes each time. For example, if a user clicks on Destinations, Africa, Egypt…that is not the path that shows up. The path changes each time to Home-Africa, then posts-Egypt. How do I get it to show what they are actually clicking on?

Also, how do I edit the appearance? there is a shadow box along the top of the entire post. I’d rather have white space behind it.

    Hi Ashley

    Thanks for posting.

The breadcrumb functionality will need to be adjusted in the plugin that’s outputting it. You might be using WordPress SEO breadcrumbs or perhaps BreadcrumbNavXT. The options for the breadcrumb will depend on the plugin used.

Please, send a link to a page with the shadow and we’ll try to advise how that might be changed.

Here is a link to a blog. As you can see, there is a grey box that goes across the top of the page. As for the breadcrumb path, do I need to change something with the categories or pages? Or it is strictly through Yoast
    SEO? I'll try them next.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks :)

SEOSearch AppearanceBreadcrumbs is where all the Yoast breadcrumb options are. The grey background behind the breadcrumbs is added by Yoast. I’m not sure there is a setting for that. We’re able to assist with CSS customizations of this nature within our premium support scope. It’s, unfortunately, beyond what we’re able to help with here on the forums. Here is a topic discussing the problem and possible solutions: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/changing-background-colour-of-breadcrumbs/. You could also try the visual editor in SiteOrigin CSS to make this change.

    Hope that helps.
