Hey!
I built a small website using the Pagebuilder (in combination with the Pagebuilder Framework Theme). It worked out quite well, but now – nearly finished – there is one thing that I can’t figure out:
I would like to add a header (or hero image) to all sites – and I want it to appear ABOVE the menu. It seems like a simple feature to me, but I can’t figure out how to do it?
I couldn’t find any setting in the Customizer to do this. So I tried adding a “”Hero image”” with the additional SiteOrigin Widget Bundle – but it also appears below the menu.
So I changed the theme to Unwind (as I explicitely read in the description that in there is a setting to decide whether the header should appear above or below the menu). But: Even if I put the settings to “header above menu”, it doesn’t work and the image is still shown below the menu.
So at this point I wonder if there is anything in the Pagebuilder that not only does not give me the option to put an image above the menu – but that also deactivates that option even if the theme offers it?
So, long story short: Is there any possibility to put that header image above the menu?
Best regards from Germany,
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
If the theme is set up to allow for widgets above the menu, yes, you’ll be able to add the SiteOrigin Hero widget above the menu if you add the widget to the relevant widget area.
I can’t comment on Pagebuilder Framework Theme, as I haven’t personally used it, but for Unwind you can add a Hero widget above the menu by adding it to your Header widget area. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceWidgets and add the SiteOrigin Hero widget to your Header Widget area – I would recommend adding a Layout Builder and then adding the SiteOirgin Hero widget to that widget as it’ll give you more control.
I suspect Pagebuilder Framework Theme would have a similar widget area so I would check there. If it doesn’t, I would reach out to the theme developers directly to confirm if this is possible or not.
