How can I change the default home page in Vantage?

I am working up a new site using the Vantage theme and am having trouble setting a static home page that differs from the one included in the theme. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Stephen,

    You can change the homepage in Vantage by navigating to WP AdminSettingsReading and changing the Front Page setting. You may also need to navigate to WP AdminAppearanceHome Page and untick Custom Home Page status to off.
