Hover text on post loop slider?

I’m using the Vantage Pro theme and was wondering if on the post loop slider image, can I add text that hovers over the image? Currently I am using the post excerpt to show below the image, but would like to change it to hover text. I think I read that this is not possible, but want to double check.

    Sorry for the late reply here. If you make sure to enter your Vantage Premium order number when posting a new thread, your question will be prioritized by our system and you’ll get a reply much sooner.

    Unfortunately you are correct, this isn’t possible without some custom coding. This is a good idea though, something I’d definitely like to add to the Widgets Bundle version of the Carousel widget.
