Horizontal scroll bar

Hi, I am using Alizee theme, and a static homepage. I have added a row with two widgets, SiteOrigin text and SiteOrigin image. A horizontal scroll bar appeared underneath the row. I then added a SiteOrigin Slider. The horizontal scroll bar then moved underneath the slider.

I then tried using one of your Layouts but still got a horizontal scroll bar.

I’ve looked at other posts that are about the same problem but can’t figure out how to remove it. Can you help please? Thanks

    Hi Clark,

    That’s fine mate.

In my experience, this happens when themes have odd ways of doing containers. In this instance (as it’s likely unrelated to the linked thread), it sounds like the theme you were using had set widths for widgets and if it exceeded said width, it would overflow (ie. horizontal scroll bar). I suspect disabling the widget class may have resolved this issue for you. This can be done by navigating to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder, and then opening the Widget tab. Disable the Add Widget Class setting and save.

With that said, it’s purely case by case so it’s not really possible to give you a definite solution as it’s not a consistent issue. This also explains why I didn’t provide you with this solution initially (ie. before confirming if this was the case) as more often than not, people would rather no answer rather than an incorrect one.

Ok Thanks Alex that’s good to know, i’ll try that next time then. I’ll give you a shout if it happens again.

    Thanks.
