Normally when we set Homepage On from Appearance > Homepage and design the Homepage from there, The #masthead morgin-bottom will automatically become 0px (like your other themes.) But I see in North it not work. We have to set it from Customizer > Header > bottom-margin which will effect to all posts/pages sit right after the header without any spaces in between, It can look ugly.
I know we can use
.page-id #mastead { margin-bottom: 0px; }
but I think we miss the concept of Homepage. Like a said I used to use other of your themes. When we active Homepage in Appearance it will automatic delete that margin-bottom for us. I wonder why it not work the same way with North. If so the Homepage on Appearance menu are No diffent from Normal page with No sidebar template + hide title, right?
I think this small guy should be fix.
Thank you
Emily
Hi Emily
Apologies for the delay. AppearanceHome Page is essentially a shortcut to PagesHome PagePage Builder. If you go to Pages > Home Page you’ll be able to remove top and bottom margins using the Page Settings meta box in the right column. Hop that helps.
Thank you for your reply. That is why I say the Appearnce > Homepage menu does nothing different. So it is just the shortcut now, ok I get it. Then even thogh we have activate the Homepage via Appearance > Homepage then we still have to Edit as Page to use the Page Settings. This is not a user friendly and seem we have to do more job. It should have been work like Vantage and the other themes which the Homepage that set from Appearance > Homepage will automatic cut of the Masthead bottom. It is make sense?
Anyway I have review the theme and follow your suggestion.
