Home page not working after wordpress move

9 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 9 years ago

Hello:
I am new to WordPress and used PageBuilder to develop my webpage. It is useful as I am not an expert. I designed the home page and others using the Vantage theme (created a child) in my local environment. I moved the site to the www but got some issues of customization ( I have to re built some of the settings). The biggest issue now is that I have the Home page that I designed in the local server in the list of pages in my new server, but wordpress doesn´t charge it when clicking on the home button. I don´t want to waste my time doing the home page again. Is there any way to use my home page instead of the home page created by the theme? It does not show that page as an alternative to use. In my local site, it shows me different pages/options to use a home page but not now in the new server. appreciate some guidance. regards

    Hi Darío,

To clarify, what migration method did you use to move the local WordPress install to the web server? Based on the issue you’re having with both the customizer and the page builder data, it doesn’t sound like the method you used, support serialized data (which if handled incorrectly, becomes invalid).

For future reference, I recommend using a plugin like Duplicator to migrate your website.
