    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Nathan

Are these the posts on your home page or in your blog archives? Do you have a URL I can take a look at?

Can I go back to a previous version of Page Builder?

I’ve tried going back to previous versions, disabling all other plugins one by one, renaming my child pages for content.php etc. and making single pages with page builder settings the same and the same thing continues to happen. I’ll need to figure out how to get my excerpts > read more function happening. The home page wasn’t supposed to be a list of full posts. I’m using WP 3.9.1

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Nathan

We’ve progressed a bit further in this investigation and will have a fix out in the next version of Page Builder. In the mean time you can hotfix by running the child theme I’ve created here: https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/vantage-child.zip.

You can install from Appearance > Themes > Add New and upload the ZIP. You will lose all Customizer settings when activating a child theme so best to open a tab with Appearance > Customizer in it before switching themes so you can manually copy your Customizer settings over.

The alternative is to roll back to the previous version of Page Builder. You can download it here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/developers/. To install, delete Page Builder and then install the older version from Plugins > Add New.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for your understanding here – we are sorry for the hassles caused.

I just wanted to update everyone on the rest of the “workaround” I needed for this. In order to keep the “Read more” extended full posts off the home page, I currently need to Edit the Home Page in the “Edit as Page” mode. So, in the left gutter menu, select Appearance > Home Page … If I just hit the “Save Home Page” button at the bottom of this page the full texts of my posts show up on the Home Page.

So, the workaround: click the link at the top to “Edit As Page”. Then make your changes as usual. When I Update this way, the “Read more” text is conveniently tucked behind the appropriate link to the full post as expected on the Home Page.

    Hope this helps!

I am already working through a child theme, will i have to activate the new child theme and lose all the work on earlier child theme ?
