Hey guys,
I am trying to improve the usibilty for my mobile users. Therefore I`d like to excerpt the home page text.
I already tried it with several plugins, but so far none of them worked.
Do u have any suggestions?
Or another option would be to put the home page text ( which is pretty long as u can see on my home page)
below the footer. Is this possible? Like this website www. geschenke-star .de ( as u can see its below the footer)

I hope anyone can help me.

    Furtermore I cannot access my home page anymore through the page section.
    The only way to make adjustment at the moment is to go through ,,appreance /design” and then click home page, but I cannot access through ,,pages” and then ,,start” (its my home page).
    I would like to change the meta description, therefore I need to access my home page.
    I have the problem since yesterday.
    Any idea what could cause this problem?

      So just to confirm, with this other issue. Are you not able to access the page when you navigate to Page > All Pages? What happens when you try view a page? Do you just see a white page or is something else happening?

      This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

      Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    So from what I understand, you’d like to shorten the content on your homepage when the user is visiting on a mobile device? Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without some custom coding. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.

    If you need this urgently, you could always post a job on https://codeable.io/. It might be a fairly complex job though.

    Hey Greg,

    thanks for your answers. If I go to “Pages” then to “All Pages” and then to home page I can`t edit anything even plugins like pagebuilder or seo yoast are disabled, but just on the home page. Every other pages works more than fine. I will try to work a bit with different plugins, but if u have any idea why just the home page is disabled, I`d be really grateful for your help.

    Apologies for the delay. Hopefully you’ve managed to resolve. This isn’t something we’ve seen before. If you haven’t yet solved the problem please try testing with:

    1. All plugins off except for Page Builder.
    2. Then turn on Yoast and Page Builder and re-test.

    Let us know the results.
