Hi,
I have a problem with the plugin.
With each new article that I created with the item appears on my homepage, where normally I disabled the appearance of new articles, with my theme. But blog articles made with this plugin still appear and crush my homepage.
Thank’s
Hi Anouk Sch,
Could you tell me a little more about the articles you wish to hide from the front page? Are they not published? Do you only want a specific category?
Just as a heads by the way. You can actually set up the build the Post Loop widget to only list the posts you want it to list – that way there’s no chance of anything slipping through the cracks and appearing on your page.
I created a page template for my post (the blog section). But if I uilise the widget for the post (categories, etc …) … it shows me my latest posts on my homepage where the function is disabled in my theme yet.
So .. I have to create my blog from page instead of articles.
Hi Anouk Sch,
I can understand how frustrating that can be. There’re a couple of ideas I have that should be able to help you with this. What is the name of the widget you’re using? Is it called “recent posts”, or “Post-loop”? If it’s not the latter you should switch to the other widget as it’ll allow you greater control over what posts are displayed.
Hi,
I just tried with WordPress widget “recent post”…
Hi Anouk,
I’m not too sure I follow. Could you please elaborate?
Hi,
When I create an article with Page Builder, The plugin doesn’t take into account parameters of my themes and is going to put me the article on the homepage.
If I create an article without Page Builder, I have no problem.
Thus I do not manage to use articles, nor widgets WordPress associated as categories…
Hi Anouk,
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

I noticed as well, as I can’t insert the shortcodes of my theme into a page of Page Builder. That doesn’t work.
Hi Anouk,
The post loop widget relies on the more tag to be able to effectively separate content. Please try adding that and seeing if this resolves the issue for you.
Could you tell me a little more about the shortcodes and how you’re trying to add them? Like for instance, what type of widget are you adding them to?

Hi Anouk,
I’m not sure I follow. Are you asking how to set it up so it only pulls data from certain categories?
Regarding the shortcode. You should be able to make use of the SiteOrigin Editor widget(found in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle) to use them. Could you try using them in that widget?
Also, could you elaborate on how they don’t work? Do they just output the shortcodes – as in the text, or is the layout displaying incorrectly?

Hi Anouk,
You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.
This will globally remove the button row. Regarding making them links, you can add HTMl in the title features title so you could in theory creat a link. Example:
You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

Hi Anouk,
Uhhh that’s odd. Did you make any changes to any plugins? A 500 error means it’s an internal server error so it will most likely relate to any file changes you’ve recently made. I can’t really help with fixing this issue so I would recommend contacting your hosting provider for help with this issue.

Hi Anouk,
That shouldn’t have ever had the chance of crashing your site. I’ll look into this issue and see if it’s a bug but yes, please delete the plugin to see if it fixes the issue.

Hi Anouk,
Please hold off on deleting your layout. I’ll look into this issue right now and see if I can get a fix for you so it doesn’t crash your website – it’s not at all intended.
Hi Anouk,
Do you have any idea where you would have put the code? I can’t seem to easily replicate this. Also, did you fix the issue by deleting SiteOrigin Custom CSS, or SiteOrigin Page Builder?

Hi Anouk,
Can you please tell me what you mean by directly. Are you implying you edited a file, or the plugin itself? I’m sorry if it sounds like I’m asking needless questions I’m just to make sure we have all of the information possible for when we come to fix this issue.
I am French thus it is not easy to explain in English for me.
I put the CSS in the plugin.
Hi Anouk,
That’s absolutely fine. Don’t worry about me getting upset with you due to language issues – it won’t happen.
Okay. I’m going to type out a couple of things I think you may have done. Please state the letter that matches the sentence that either is, or is most similar to:
A. I edited the plugin files directly and added the CSS to the PHP files, and then the issue occurred.
B. I edited my theme stylesheet, style.css, and then the issue occurred.
C. I added the CSS to the SiteOrigin CSS plugin and then the issue occurred.
Hopefully, this helps you.
C, I think. :))
but I am not developer I … it’s not easy.
Hi Anouk,
Thank you! That information has helped me a great deal. Would it be possible to get a list of your currently enabled plugins so I can try and work out what’s causing the Custom CSS conflict as that might be at fault here for the crash also.
yes…

Hi Alex,
All right but tell me exactly where I have to stick the CSS… I don’t want to put it wherever…. please.
Hi Anouk,
The SiteOrigin CSS plugin adds a page to your WordPress that can be found under AppearanceCustom CSS. If you follow the previously outlined steps you’ll be able to add the CSS. If however you would rather me add the CSS, that’s understandable. If you do want me to do it please create a temporary admin account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.
Once I’ve finished adding the CSS, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

I’ve completed the account creation but am unable to access wp-admin. What URL do you use to access it? (please mark your response as private)

Hi Anouk,
Could you check the user role you’ve assigned me? I’ll need administrator privileges to do this.

Hi Anouk,
Yes, thank you. I’ve added the CSS to your website so you should be able to make use of the pricing widget without the button being visible.
I have to do again the tables ? Because I always see buttons on my documents…

In fact what I would have wanted it is that my right menu goes back up to the top of my page or higher in any case and to be able to have several bloks on the left
Hi Anouk,
Based on what you’ve said I would suggest using the layout builder widget. It’s pretty much a layout within a layout. With it you should be able to do what you intend in two parent rows.
Yes OK I go to annoy longer you have already spent 2 days to help me… :)
I am going to find. Thank you for everything !
