Heroin widget load time

Hi!
I have a problem with loading time of hero widget.
I have hero widget as a slider on front page.
When running speed test on site I’ve got warning on loading time. It says that I should prioritize loading above fold, and that is the hero widget. The page loads text below fold first and hero widget last. This impact on speed, especially mobile version.
Is there anything I can do about this?

    Hi Stefan,

Typically this is due to very large images being used. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

    Hi Stefan,

Just took a look at your website and ran a few tests. So the slider adds a little amount of load to the homepage which is to be expected as it holds just under 400KB of images (which is a very good size mind you). The major issue seems to be larger files are taking way too long to transfer. As a result, your large (minified) JS file is taking way too long to transfer. This is preventing the slider from showing until that does. Consider reducing the overall size of the file or splitting it into two so that the browser can “split the load”.

    Hi Stefan,

Please refer to your minify plugin settings as that can be handled there.

    Hi Stefan,

Changing web hosts will likely make the need to split the files redundant but you also run the risk of changing to a bad one and getting worse results.

I would not recommend the minify aspect of w3 total cache. It’s honestly not very good and gives you little control over it. Something like Better WordPress Minify would be more recommended.
