I’m super new to website building so my knowledge base is very limited. I got the MentalPress theme and love it, but to create more dynamic pages I have just tried using SiteOrigin plugins with PageBuilder. I created a page using one of the templates that had the hero widget at the top. Everything looked great, but once I published it I noticed that my Navigation buttons are showing up behind (and not in front of, as it should) the image used in the widget. As a result, when that page is up, if you scroll to the navigation area to the left of the screen you can see the available options. Not sure if that makes sense, but I would definitely appreciate some help. Thanks!
Hero Widget issue when used in MentalPress Theme

Hi Novagolo,
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? This will allow me to work out why this is happening and write some CSS to prevent this.
Hi Alex,
Sorry for the delay in my reply. The URL is http://www.csgboston.com. The page that I’m using the Hero Widget on is Careers. http://www.csgboston.com/home/careers/
When you hover over the navigation menu to see the drop down items, you will see that they appear behind the BG of the hero widget and are unreadable. I have tried taking out the Hero widget temporarily and the issue only exists when the Hero Widget is being used. I am using a MentalPress theme, so I’m not sure if there is some conflict with the two. I have cleared the Cache. Nothing has worked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really love this widget and would love to keep using it for other pages as well.
Hi Novagolo,
Thanks. You can fix this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Add the following CSS:
You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
Hi Alex,
I have been meaning to respond sooner. Just wanted to give a big thanks. =) The custom CSS worked perfectly and it fixed the problem.
Thank you!
