Hero Widget help please.

Hi, I have been having a problem on a specific website issue for work at the moment and it is the Hero Widget not displaying.

I have searched and can not see a solution.

The space is being allocated for the widget but images or text are not displaying. I have created new pages to see if it replicates the issue – it does. However, the problem is not appearing on another website on the same hosting account built using the same Siteorigin layout.

Would anyone have any ideas that would help me get to the bottom of this please?

    Hi Seán

Thanks for reaching out. If possible, please, could you send us a link to any page showing the problem? We’ll take a look and adivse from there.

Hi Andrew, thanks for your reply.
I have been onto the hosting company who have confirmed there are no error logs on their side in relation to the WP site.
I have some screen shots in this google folder that I will try explain and see what can be figured out https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BzanJbLOjpjUc2j-5ljDT_ZT-jYwYovU?usp=sharing

    1. Is what is presented when logged into the page builder or page editor. The Hero widget can be seen in place, but no images or content are displayed in the location within the admin area.
    2. Remaining logged in as admin when you Visit Site the hero images and content are displayed properly as per the page Builder.
3 & 4 are variations of logged out of admin and viewing page live on the internet – to viewer images are not displayed. Using an incognito window again images are not in the placeholder.

Really scratching my head over this. Everything looks to be uptodate. As mentioned I have another site with the same theme and there are no problems on that site with hero images.

    Appreciate any help.

    Hi Sean

Thanks for the update. If possible, please, could you change the Drive folder to be public so I can take a look.

If it’s possible to share a link to the page, that would be the easiest. If not, just the Drive folder access would be great.

    Andrew, sorry, that’s public now.

The site is http://www.hyve.ie though I have the maintenance mode so you won’t see the live pages.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the link. Please, try temporarily deactivating the Cresta social counter plugin. It’s producing a JavaScript error, that might be the problem.

Andrew! That is fantastic thank you. It seems to be back to 100% now. You make that look like a very simple fix.

    :)

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, I’m glad that helped. If you need the plugin in question, you could perhaps reactivate it and then open your browser console, here is how https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis. There you’ll see errors in red, you could take a screenshot and send it to the authors and ask if they can attend. Alternatively, you could seek out a similar plugin.

All the best with your site :)
