Hero Widget and rows background images lose their quality drastically (Vantage Theme)

Hi, it seems I’m having some glitch with Vantage Theme (Free) and Page builder: For some reason all high-res images that I’m trying to install as Hero Widget’s background or as a row background image lose their quality considerably. A lot of artefacts and broken pixels appear from nowhere on both PC, tablet and mobile versions, even though I’ve tried to experiment with different layout settings.

Could anybody please help resolve this issue? A lot of thx in advance!

The site I’m trying to customize is the following: http://wplanding.digitallead.ru/

    Hi Denis,

Does this issue remain if you temporarily disable Jetpack?

    Hi Alex,

I’ve disabled Jetpack plugin, but the problem persists. What else could it be?

    Hi Denis,

Can you please link me to the full image so I can run a few tests?

    Hi Alex,

thank you for your swift response and sorry about my slow answering.

Sure thing, please find below two image links currently set as backgrounds:

And here is another image I’ve tried to set up as another background for the same row, but failed to ensure the quality

Thank you so much for helping out!

    Hi Denis,

Thanks. Okay, so the reason for the quality difference is due to the images having to be stretched due to being vertically smaller than the rows they’re applied to. The images are all 850px in height but the rows range from 950px to 1070px (rounded up) in height.

I would recommend increasing the height of the images to prevent the disorientation/quality degrade you’re experiencing.

Hi Alex, thank you so much for helping out!

Ok, I will try to increase the heights and seee how that comes out.
