Hero Image Widget – Custom HTML

I am trying to use the Hero Image widget and wanted to add some custom text and HTML over the image. I am able to add the custom text but any HTML I attempt to add gets removed. As an example I want to create a dropdown that sits over top of the hero image but adding the example code below is just removed.

<select>
<option value="volvo">Volvo</option>
<option value="saab">Saab</option>
<option value="mercedes">Mercedes</option>
<option value="audi">Audi</option>
</select>

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Nicholas,

    Thanks for letting us know about this. I’ve logged this as a bug in our issue tracker. We’ll investigate this as soon as possible and try come up with a fix.

    In the meantime, I would recommend using the SiteOrigin Layout Slider instead as that will allow you to add a Custom HTML widget on top of the slider. Can’t see this widget? Please navigate to WP AdminPluginsSiteOrigin Widgets to activate it.
