Vertical-align doesn’t work in the manner you’re trying to using it in, but it’s possible to get the desired setup with adjustments. Please open your hero widget and open the Design and layout settings group. Set the Extra Top Padding to an amount that will allow you to get the desired amount – you’ll need to adjust this, and view the results until you get the desired placement.
