Hero Image not responsive on mobile

Hello team!

First of all, a very big thank you for creating such a beautifully useful app for WordPress. That being said, I have a small issue with handling the responsiveness of the page builder content.

My site URL: http://assessmentclinic.uic.edu/

I’ve already set the row to “full width stretched” layout. But I am unable to make it responsive on mobile. Is there something that I am missing here? Please help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Anirudh11591

Thanks for reaching out and for your support. Sorry we weren’t able to reply sooner.

Unfortunately, because the Hero widget maintains its height, it isn’t completely responsive. The text displays in the space available so it is partially responsive. If you compare that to say Meta Slider, you can see a demo Meta Slider here: http://demo.siteorigin.com/vantage/, the height of the slider and text all shrink in proportion as the screen size decreases. At the moment, this isn’t the behaviour of the Hero widget.

We have a new layered slider widget on the way. That is going to be fully responsive. I expect it’s about a month away. Sorry, wish I had more to offer in this regard at the moment.

    Hello Andrew,

I have the same issue when using hero image in several pages. You mentioned the new layered slider widget is on the way. That will be very good! Will that widget be in free version?

Thanks again. I really love your application. It’s wonderful!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Johnny

We look set to launch SiteOrigin Premium next week at some point during the week. Most of our themes are being updated to include our new page settings framework and there are several other updates and fixes all happening around the same time. Things are changing quite fast so don’t hold me to this but, yes, I think the new layered slider will be a premium feature. Chat further next week once everything is out. Thanks for your support!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Rolf

Fit Text has been added which is in use in your Hero, the headlines will adapt to screen size. Unfortunately, overall, this is a limitation with the Hero. The full-responsive behaviour you’re after, where the image and all contents gets smaller, isn’t yet available. You could perhaps consider Meta Slider Pro or Revolution Slider. I know Master Slider has layering in the free version, that’s perhaps, worth a look too.

Our Slider widget is responsive in the manner you’re after but doesn’t have text layer support, only support for an additional overlay image.
