Hi!
There are three width possibilities on new Twenty-Twenty One layout: p one (paragraph), slightly bigger one and full site width.
Every widget, custom html etc. takes the width value of the box. It doesn’t work for Hero Image Widget (it’s always small on that new official WordPress template; even if it’s seems OK in administrator mode while preparing the site).
Is there any simple workaround for this issue?
Thanks in advance!

I just found a solution: with Hero Image you firstly need to set the width of the box and then add widget. Doing it other way won’t always work.
Hi Yomo,
I’ve run some tests and I can’t seem to find the width options you’re referencing. I had suspected it might have been the standard Block Editor width options but they don’t appear to be enabled for Twenty Twenty-One. Would it be possible for you to provide me with a screenshot of what you’re seeing? We currently don’t support attachments so you’ll need to upload your screenshot to an image hosting site like Imgur.com and reply with a link to your screenshot.
Kind regards,
Alex
Hi!

Options regarding different widths in Twenty-Twenty One are available when you first click “Columns” or choose “Group options”.
The problem that I described is what I can see not limited only to Hero Image, but it refers to every content (as I wrote above: you firstly need to set the width of the box and then add widget/paragraph/image. Doing it other way won’t always work.).
Unfortunately I found another problem with Hero Image and Twenty-Twenty One theme and described it in another topic.
Thanks!

Hi Yomo,
Ah. Thank you for clarifying.
I’ve run a few tests with the Columns block and I’m having trouble replicating this. Would it be possible for you to link me to a page where this issue is present? This will allow me to take a closer look at the resulting output of the columns and that should hopefully allow me to work out what’s going on.
Kind regards,
Alex
