Help needed adding Convertkit modal pop-up to a button in Hero section

Hi

I’m trying to embed a Convertkit modal pop-up to a button in the slider’s hero image but not getting very far!

I have two ‘issues’:

1. I’m trying to embed a Github code used by my theme’s creator and want to inherit the theme’s style so not have to configure one from scratch using the shortcode option (ideally):
BUTTON NAME

I’ve made it appear in the style ok but it won’t centre in middle of hero no matter what code or visual placement i’ve tried…suggestions?

2. The modal just won’t work and i’m not sure how or where to add the appropriate bits given the fields available and what i have to work with from convertkit. For the record I can easily do this normally in text view but if i switch to this i’ll obviously lose Sitorigin edits…so not an option.

These are the fields in the ‘Other attributes and CSS’ module:

Button ID
Button Classes
Title attribute
Onclick
Rel attribute

This is all i have from Convertkit:

JS to embed anywhere on page to launch modal:

Link: Your link text

My question is how do i translate the given Convertkit elements to create a button native to my theme’s style that successfully launches the modal (using the fields available to me in Siteorigin). ie what should i put in each field to make the darn modal work!

Any suggestions hugely appreciated : )

Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kittycat74,

I’d like to help you with this issue, but this is beyond the scope of the support we’re able to offer on our free forums. There is a fair amount of custom work involved. This is not to suggest it’s not possible, but it’ll require a lot of work to get your theme’s button to appear rather than ours. Instead, I would add the code to a Custom HTML widget.

We do offer this level of support to our premium users, so if you’d like to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then I can help you over email support.

If you’d prefer not to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then you can hire a WordPress developer from Codeable. They’ll charge you an hourly rate for any work done.

Totally understand. Thank you Alex for responding. I purchased Thrive Architect in the end : )
