Headlines using H1

Hi Guys,

I have a design change suggestion for the Vantage Headline widget. Currently this enforces a H1 tag upon the headline. The headline is a nice element that is useful for people to create consistent formatting on the page, but if it’s used multiple times on a page it dilutes the importance of the page. I’d like to suggest that it would be a good idea to change the vantage headline to have an option when inserted, to choose the type of heading tag, H1 – H2 but the styling remains the same.

This allows the use of the heading elements without causing SEO problems on the page.

Cheers
Paul

    Hey Addo,

I’ve already fixed it for myself, but I’m thinking about the broader number of less able users that are having their SEO inadvertently impacted by the use of more than one Headline widget.

    Cheers

        Hi Paty

We, unfortunately, don’t have an easy to way to change the markup in the Headline widget. It would be an intermediate to advanced level custom development task.

Sorry we don’t have more on this.
