Heading H1 to H2 for blog titles for Vantage Theme

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 5 years ago

Hi,

I am working on this site: http://www.locomansounds.com/
I would like the Site Tite “DCC Sound Decoders” to be in h2.

I am using the Vantage Free theme vantage.1.5.8

I found this thread from 2 years ago and tried using it as a child theme as advised:

Heading H1 to H2 for blog titles

I emptied the caches with W3 total cache and purged content delivery network and the remains the same. Please could you help?

    Hi J3dj3d,

    Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look at your settings?

    Hi Geoff,

    Ah. I see what’s going on. The child theme is only setup to change the title for posts, not pages. To change it for pages also you’ll need to add an edited version of content-page.php to your child theme. Please save this file as content-page.php and add it to your child theme.

    Hi Alex, I’ve added the content-page.php to the child theme and the Heading remains H1. Please could you help?

    Hi J3dj3dm

    I just had a look at your website and everything looks as desired now. If any pages have h1 remaining as the title it’s likely due to your page cache – please clear it to ensure you’re seeing the latest version.

    If you would like to style the page title the same as it previously was, please add the following CSS to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS:

    article.post .entry-header h2.entry-title, article.page .entry-header h1.entry-title {
    	color: #3b3b3b;
    	font-size: 20px;
    	font-weight: 500;
    	line-height: 1.35em;
    }

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    Hi J3dj3d,

    Just reaching out to still need a hand with this. If so, let me know and we’ll pick this back up.

    Kind regards,
    Alex
