Heading Color :- White with white background

Hi,

I am using page builder by site origin for one of my website and i am really new to wordpress, my problem is that when i add text widget to row or generally when i want to add text. The heading do not appear on my page because it’s in white color and the background of my home page (where i am trying to put some text in) is also white, now i found some codes to change the colors of text but they do not work on the heading section of it
This text will be red and italic

can anyone help me how to solve this issue, i am using twenty fourteen theme for my blog..
