Header widget – want both text and widget to show on top of each other instead of next to each other…

On the HEADER widget area, everytime i add the vantage social media the “call me txt disappears” I was able to find a work around by adding a text widget with the vantage social widget. However they are showing sided by side instead of on top of each other like a normal sidebar would.

    Hi Jordan

    Thanks for running Vantage.

    What you’ve described is the default behaviour of Vantage. The Call me Maybe? text does get removed once you manage the header area with widgets and widgets do stack side by side. For the majority of cases this is suitable.
    I took a look at changing this behaviour now and it’s unfortunately not as easy as I’d hoped, this is due to the absolute positioned nature of the header widget area.

    You could add the following to Appearance > Custom CSS and vertical align the phone number:

    #header-sidebar #text-2 {
padding-top: 34px;
}

    I see – what about having a shortcode for the social media then we can just use the shortcode on a txt widget along with the phone number, that way all the info is on 1 widget. Is that possible?

    Sure. Just unfortunately not with the Vantage Social widget, that’s only available in widget form. You could try another plugin like: http://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-facebook-twitter-share-buttons/.
