I had tweaked the header so that the logo and background finally looked perfect, at least in Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. The client recently sent a screen-grab of the site in Internet Explorer (not sure of the version) and it looked like this, http://annehutchinswebdesign.com/FILES/ggg-header-IE.png. I’m on a Mac so I don’t have access to Internet Explorer (I wish everyone would just dump this crappy browser once and for all).
Is there IE-specific CSS code that I can add to fix this? I really don’t want to tweak the background any further, particularly when it looks great on the other browsers. Help!
On a whim, I extended the width of the browser window and the logo merged with the flower graphics, so it’s not an IE problem. I had so much trouble with this graphical background and now this — which is why I HATE graphical backgrounds. The background graphic is 1920 × 235 and it’s set to Cover. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Never mind — I ended up tweaking the header graphic AGAIN to accommodate huge monitors. Grrr, what a pain. No fault of the Vantage theme, though :-)
