Header image widget in wrong spot when page first loads!

Hello! I really like the vantage theme. You guys have made building my website extremely doable.

I’m having only one issue with the image in my header. I only have two things in my header: the logo and an image widget.

The logo is always where I’ve placed it. The image widget, on the other hand, is always about 30px below where it should be when the page first loads. If I click on the logo/home/refresh, the image goes where it’s supposed to. This is a landing page so the first impression is really the most important. Any clue? Thanks a bunch!

    Thanks!

    It does it in both Safari and Chrome.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Please try this under Appearance > Custom CSS:

    header#masthead .hgroup #header-sidebar {
    padding-top: 0 !important;
    padding-bottom: 0 !important;
    }

    Should do the trick.

    You guys are great. It worked for Safari, Chrome and Firefox. IE has the image a couple px higher than the logo now. Is there anything IE specific I can also include in the Custom CSS?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Do you have these images in a layered format? If you do I’d recommend the following. Rather add your header image as a masthead background via Appearance > Customize > Page: Masthead Background. Two options:

    1. Take PB Power Bankruptcy and the planes out of the image and save them as a cropped file with a transparent background. Save as PNG and add as logo.

    2. Another way would be to add 216px to the left of the header image, make that space transparent and save file as PNG. Then you can leave the logo as is.

    Number 2 is untested, not 100% sure if that would work.

    Let me know your thoughts on this approach.

    I’m going to give that a shot! May take a few days because I have to wait for the person who does my graphics. But I’ll let you know how it goes. You guys are great! Thanks a lot!
