Grouping Blog Posts by Date

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

I currently have my homepage created using the custom homepage builder and adding multiple widgets. I was wondering, is there any way to accomplish the same layout but using blog posts instead? I’d like to categorize each entry but cannot do that through the page builder widgets.

Thank you.

    Hi Derek

    You could use this plugin

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/list-category-posts/

Just add a PageBuilder row and add the list-category-posts widget to it.

Let us know if this works for you

I tried using the suggested plugin mentioned above but it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. I don’t really want to group the posts by category but rather by date. I’d also like the there to be a header placed automatically with the date in which the post was posted. So for example:

    April 28th, 2015

    April 27th, 2015

    Hi Derek

A plugin of some sort will be the way to go. I don’t have the perfect one for you but this is quite close:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/jquery-archive-list-widget/

It’s all about collapsing so not perfect for what you want, hopefully the idea gets you searching on the right path.
