Grey background in SiteOrigin Editor

Greetingz!

The editor has got a grey background. The letters are also grey, so it is very hard to edit.

When I open ‘design’, there seems to be a background image set, however, there isn’t one selected. It gives me the option to delete the background, but it doesn’t respond.

Thanks in advance for trying to help!

Best greetings,
Freo

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Freo,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If that doesn’t help, can you please show me a screenshot of the editor? Please note that we’re currently unable to process attachments so you’ll need to upload the image to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me.

Thank you for your reply, I hope I can help you and others ( and myself ).

When I disable all other plugins, nothing changes. Changing the theme does work.

I use the Natural Lite theme.

The bug wasn’t there in the beginning. So some update, plugin or setting must have caused it.

    Hi Freo,

Would it be possible for you to send me an export for the pictured widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
