    Hi Geoffrey

    Perhaps check that you haven’t highlighted that text in green using the Visual tab or the Visual Editor widget. On the second row of both is a Text Color option.

    The paragraph text defaults to green; the text in the footer does as well. I was messing with something else last month, and this was an unintended consequence.

    Ahh right, should be an easy fix then. Try Appearance > Customize > Theme Settings > Fonts > Content Color.

    Content color was grey. I set it to black just to see if that would change anything, but it did not. I went to Appearance>Customize>Fonts>Content Color. I think it may have been something I did with the code that is created this as a contingent result. I am pretty sure I tried re-installing the theme too.

    This is what I have in Custom CSS – which I am pretty sure you had posted on another thread on this site.

    /* Full header logo */

    header#masthead {
    padding: 5 !important;
    }

    header#masthead hgroup {
    padding: 5 !important;
    }

    header#masthead hgroup .logo img {
    width: 1080px;
    }

    .main-navigation {
    margin: 5 !important;
    }

    Head to Appearance > Widgets > Header, open the Text widget there and remove the line targeting paragraphs with color green.

    Thank you so much Andrew. I have been trying to figure that out since Christmas. That log in is from my software provider, so I would have never looked there. I don’t know why they did that.

    Glad to hear you made progress here. The CSS that was there was too general, that was the problem.

    All the best.
