Hi.
On the following url there used to be a map visible on the right side ( http://www.fijilifefitness.com/contact-us/ ) but recently it disappeared.
I’ve read it could be due to the update from google, requiring an API-key so I’ve created one for the site but it still shows a blank area.
When I’m in the editor click on “preview” it displays the map perfectly (interactive one. The static is not displayable) but when I’m loading the published page, it generates the following
<div class="so-panel widget widget_sow-google-map panel-first-child panel-last-child" id="panel-14-1-1-0" data-index="2"> <div class="so-widget-sow-google-map so-widget-sow-google-map-base"> <div class="sow-google-map-canvas" style="height:380px;" id="map-canvas-f51045515ee7767ff2d982b35dd9576e" data-options="{"address":"-17.782811, 177.429286","zoom":0,"scrollZoom":true,"draggable":true,"disableUi":true,"keepCentered":true,"markerIcon":"http://www.fijilifefitness.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/maps-marker.png","markersDraggable":false,"markerAtCenter":true,"markerInfoDisplay":"click","markerPositions":[],"mapName":"","mapStyles":"","directions":"","apiKey":"AIzaSyBqSUhCjMa5z0zeTRAMoCDx_OrUaspYeuU"}"></div> </div> </div>
Hi Claus,
There’s something on the frontend preventing the map from displaying correctly. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hi Alex.
Thanks for the answer however. After deactivating all plugins but SiteOrigin and SiteOrigin Widget Bundle and clearing my cache, the map is still not shown.
The site is built on the theme The7.
Would you have any other ideas what could cause this issue for us?
Hi Claus,
To clarify, did you try changing to a different theme?
Seems to be a theme issue. The map appears when the theme is changed.
Thanks.
