Google Maps Widget Map Centre Box Unusable

Our Google Maps widget stopped working ages ago and we’re now trying to fix that. WordPress said we needed the Google Maps API key, and we’ve now entered the key. But on editing the widget settings, the box to enter the map centre has a load of black semi-circles in it, and I cannot enter anything. Am I missing something?

    Hi Roy

It sounds like there is an issue with your API key. Perhaps check that your key has been authorized for the domain you’re using it on.

When the issue occurs, if you open your browser console you should see the error that is present. More on that here https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis.
