Google Maps Widget does not display the map

Hello,
I am trying to display a map on the Home page of my website destination-poland.com.
Instead of getting a map I have only a little icon. This icon is already showing up in a Preview. I deactivated all not SiteOrigins plugins but the problem is still appearing. Can you help, please?
Thank you

    Hi Gosia,

Would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click layout. Then click import / export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

    Dear Alex,

I have exported the widget together with entire page.

Please let me know if this is what you need.

    Hi Gosia,

Sorry about that – I replied to the wrong thread.

I’ve had a look at your layout and you’re missing an Google Maps API key.

The Google Maps Widget requires an API key now due to a recent Google Maps API change. To resolve this issue you’re going to have to add a Google Maps API key to your SiteOrigin Google Maps widget. To create an API key please navigate to this page and click the blue “Get a Key” button and follow the prompts.

I have followed the instructions and created the Browser API key. It has been placed under API key in the widget on my website destination-poland.com but the map still doesn't show up.

Please review the export of the widget from this morning:

    Thank you for your support.

    Hi Gosia,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

I suspect you need to add a few of the Google Maps libraries to your API. Try opening your API project by navigating here and selecting your project. Then open the library and enable the Google Maps Geocoding API to see if that resolves your issue.

To clarify, where are you located? (country wise) I’ve noticed that a lot of German users have had to very their domain (which you can do via the above link) for it to be visible for them. It’s however visible for other people though.

Also, can you try viewing the map and then could you please send me the contents of your console? Please refer to this guide (https://www.wickedlysmart.com/hfjsconsole/) on how to access your browser console.

    Alex,
Yes, I do have a public URL: http://destination-poland.com/ At the moment the widget is located on the home page, direct under the big picture placed on the very top.
I have enabled the Google Maps Geocoding API. It doesn't work:(
    I am based in Poland.

    Thanks
    Best regards
    Gosia

    Hi Gosia,

Oh, sorry! Please enable the Google Static Maps API.

    It didn't help.

    Hi Gosia,

You can’t see it? I can so that’s odd.

Could you send me the contents of your browser again?

    Alex,

It is very strange as I tested it on 2 smartphones (Chrome and Internet
Explorer) and 2 laptops (Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer). Enclosed the screenshot of my view.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gosia,

Could you please send me the contents of your browser again? Google Maps shows a message that updates every time you’ve made a change to your API settings and will do so until the map is working. I can’t seem to see said error due to being able to see the map so only you’re able to get the error.

    Hi Gosia,

Also, please note that we’re unable to process email attachments at this time. Please use a third party image hosting service such as imgur.com.

    Dear Alex,
Apologize for the late response but I was away for few days.

Please find the link below that contains two pictures.
    https://goo.gl/photos/iEtZ5CZcewXF11fu9

One is the information about the error which appears every time when I want to enter Google API Console. I am clicking OK and it lets me go to API
Manager but maybe it drives the promblem. Could you check it, please?
The second picture shows the screenshot from the Home page of the destibation-poland.com website where the map should be shown by the
    SiteOrigin Google Maps.

Does it help you anyhow to indentify the issue?

If not, and if I have to resolve the problem by myself, can you just give me any direction? Shall I anable all API related to maps and check if that helps?

    Thank you

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gosia,

Very sorry for the delay! I’m not too sure what the first image is about – it’s likely unrelated though.

By console, I mean browser console. As I can see it I’m not able to get the error code. As you can’t see it, you’ll see the error code. Please refer to this guide (https://www.wickedlysmart.com/hfjsconsole/) on how to access your browser console.

Try navigating to this page, and clicking get a key (add it to your existing stuff).
