Google Maps Widget custom LatLong Markers

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi all,

apparently the google maps widget is using geocoded markers, which makes it impossible to put exact LatLong Markers on the map.

Is it easy to make the widget accept geographical coordinates such as “N 32.1252, E -56.123” and place the marker exactly there.

best,

Marius

    Hi Marius

It looks like it’s almost working. Geocoding API should accept Lat Long. In testing, we did today it seems it is but the markers are slightly off. We’re logging a bug report now and will fix in the next release of the Widgets Bundle. Thanks for your feedback. Sorry we can’t fix right away.

Great, precise Lat Long would be very important.

Do you have an estimate release date?

Sorry, I don’t have a release date just yet. You can follow the progress of this issue here:

I’ll reach out to Braam and see if I can’t jump this up the queue :)

Two to three weeks for the next release, that’s how it’s looking right now.
