Google Maps Widget

I’m getting this error message “There were no results for the place you entered” on my website. I’ve not changed anything other than installing the jetpack plugin.

Can anyone assist?

Thanks

Chris

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi D3nium,

Sometimes this can happen after Google updates their Google Maps API database (which is a separate database to maps.google.com). I would recommend appending UK to your address as that seems to be working without issue for me.

Also, it doesn’t look like you’re using an API key. Google Maps now requires an API key and while you’re able to use the widget without an API key at the moment, this won’t always be the case as your Google Map will one day stop working (there’s no known date at this time when that will be).

To create an API key please navigate to either this page for a dynamic map or this page for a static map.

Once you’ve generated the API, simply add it to your Google Maps widget.
