Google Maps Plugin Not Working

4 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 4 years ago

On my site I only use 5 of the SiteOrigin plugins for my pages and after the last update the google maps widget has not worked. I have a map on every station or department and none of them are showing up. My API key is still good and unchanged.

Wichita Station 1

The maps are supposed to be on the right of the little write up and Former Apparatus link.

    Hi, thanks for reaching out.

When able, please, try a quick plugin conflict test. Does the issue persist if you temporarily deactivate all plugins except for those plugins authored by SiteOrigin?

I have done as requested to no avail.

Thanks for trying. When editing a map on the page are there any console errors? Here is how to check:

Ok I have done this and when I open the Google Maps Plugin to edit say the address, there are no Errors only warnings. A bunch of “JQMIGRATE: jQuery. ____” errors.

    For instance one is:
JQMIGRATE: ‘ready’ event is deprecated jquery-migrate.js:100:12
    console.trace() jquery-migrate.js:102:13
    jQuery 9

Thanks for checking. Could you perhaps try a quick theme conflict test? Temporarily switch to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen, does the issue resolve?

It looks like they may have changed their API Embed code last week possibly?

You’re welcome to send me your layout. LayoutsImport/ExportDownload Layout. Upload the JSON file to Wetransfer.com or any cloud site of your choice and send the link. Thanks.

changing the theme solved the issue, do I need to get with my theme creator?

  9. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 2 months ago

If possible, that would be great. It looks like the theme might be enqueuing a version of jQuery. Temporarily removing that enqueue might be a good place to start.

Hi again. It looks like there might be an update for the theme you’re using. The version of jQuery included with the theme might have been updated in the newer versions.
