Hallo,
Again after upgrade of widget bundle all maps on my website went blank. All maps are made properly and all of them do not work. Could you please solve this problem urgently? Switching off and on all widgets does not help. I also tried to redo some maps and switch them on again but nothing works. Do you have any problem with Google Maps API? Nomad Maps widget works properly. You may see how it looks like here –> Nomad Maps – http://workintraveller.com/cztery-strony-swiata/ , and here is a post with your map which does not work – http://workintraveller.com/2016/09/09/dali-figueres-czlowiek-ktory-utrzymuje-cale-miasto/ (before photos of the hotel). There is nothing.
Hi Anna,
Google Maps is reporting that the address you’ve input contains invalid data. Would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click layout. Then click import / export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
Hi Alex,
Thank you for your reply.
I have downloaded the files you requested but I cannot believe that all maps (they are almost in every post) without any reason have wrong data. All of them worked until last update of widget bundle and as I wrote previously this is not the first time when it happens. I would understand if 1 or 2 maps had wrong data, that would be fine, but all of them? I do not use layout import to create posts so this is not multiplied mistake.
Here are the files?
https://u.teknik.io/15hc6.json
https://u.teknik.io/OQoWQ.json
https://u.teknik.io/3boZS.json
https://u.teknik.io/EexrR.json
Thank you in advance for checking. Maybe I do some mistake but it is hard to believe in this after 2 years of using SiteOrigin ;). All what I know that does not work for sure is number of maps in 1 post. WordPress allows to add only 10, if there is 11 all stop to display.
Thank you.
Anna
Hi Anna,
To clarify, having not seen the widget settings at the time I was merely forwarding what Google was stating. Having seen the widget settings itself now, I can safely say they absolutely fine. With that said, I’m not able to replicate the issue off on any of my test setups. Please take this page as an example – are you able to see the map?
Just as a heads up: It’s not WordPress preventing 11 maps, it’s likely Google. Now I wasn’t aware of a hard limit of 10 maps (that does seem to be the case), but it needs to be noted that they would strongly prefer if you only had a single map on a page as multiple maps don’t play well together and can lead to unexpected results.
Okay so as I can’t replicate this off site. It’s likely another plugin conflicting with our Google Maps code. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue. Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If the above doesn’t help, you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hi Alex,
Thank you for your reply. It took me some time to do what you requested for and I found it. It is this plugin that does not work with SiteOrigin what is very strange, as I use it from the very beginning… It was updated 3 weeks ago. That is very basic plugin so the more I am surprised…
Google Translate WordPress ยป WP Translate
Version: 4.8.2

Is that possible for SiteOrigin to make it working together? For me this is one of the most important plugins as I have readers even in South Africa, co English translation is crucial for me.
I will also send an email to them so to let them know.
Thank you so much for you support. Please let me know if/when this incompatibility will be fixed.
Have a good day,
Anna
Hi Alex,
Just an update.
Basically each widget/plugin which is to translate website inline (in browser) switches of your map. I have just installed GTranslate and as long as widget is not added to sidebar map is visible. When I add widget map disappears again. Again, when I only delete widget (but plugin is still switched on, not deleted from wordpress) map is visible again, so this is widgets issue.
I think it is impossible to inform all providers of inline translations about this issue. I believe it is easier to make this working on your side.
Anna
Hi Anna,
Thank you for your findings. I’ll forward it to the development team.
Hallo Alex,
I would like to ask if there are any news about this case?
Is that possible to redo your widget so we could push the maps to blog via shortcodes? I have just downloaded plugin called Google Maps Easy. I made map in it, below your widget I added their widget with shortcode and then, when I refreshed page I saw both maps, yours and theirs. When I deleted theirs your became invisible again.
I do not know why your widget does not work but I am sure that this is only because of the fact that we cannot create short codes via Site Origin. All maps which I have made with shorcodes work.

Hi Anna,
Unfortunately, no, there hasn’t been any progress on this issue. I’ll ping the development team about it but I cannot do more than that about it.
I can assure you however, this isn’t related to it being a shortcode and in all likely hood relates to a general incompatability that we’ll have to fix.
