Google icon missing from Social Media Buttons Widget

Why did the Google icon option get removed from the list of networks on the Social Media Buttons widget?!

We’ve had this widget on our customer’s home page for over a year, with multiple networks included. I was alerted today by our customer that a blank space now appears where the Google icon once was.

Upon inspection in the widget, the placeholder is still there along with the external link, but it now says “Select network” instead of Google. But there is no Google-related option in the drop-down menu of networks.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Google was removed due to the Google+ network being retired. We realize users deployed the icon for other Google services. The icon will be restored in the next Widgets Bundle update, out this week.
