Hi everybody I’m trying to set the Google Authorship, but my site misses the Author page: I created a post, and if I click on my name (in the Author byline) it redirects me to a “404 page not found”.
Is it a Theme issue?
How can I fix it?
TNX!!!

While I fixed the Google Authorship issue, the Author page issue still remains: if I click on my name (in the byline) it redirects to a “404 page not found” because my author page doesn’t exists.

Hi Ivan
Thanks for running Vantage.
For reference, I’ve reported on resolving the Google Author issue with a child theme here: https://siteorigin.com/thread/missing-required-field-updated-google-webmaster-tools/.
Please can you head to Settings > Permalinks and hit Save, nothing else. See if that resolves the author 404 error.
Andrew I’m sorry it didn’t solved the issue, and things got even worse: I’m not able to activate W3 Total Cache: you can see the result in the site ( http://www.bullismoonline.it )
I uploaded the zip file and activated it, then clicked “Save” in the Permalinks section.
BTW: the orginal Vantage theme now is disabled.
Should I activate it?
From here I would:
* Delete W3’s cache if you have access to the plugin’s settings.
* Temporarily de-activate all your plugins.
* Move over to another theme.
* Delete Vantage and re-install using the ZIP download link found in your order confirmation email (premium) or just re-download via Appearance > Themes > Add New: Search for Vantage Free.
Everything should then be ok. Re-activate your plugins one at a time while checking for the issue occurring.
