I am using the contact form and the google maps widget and neither are loading for me. I am using these on several other sites without a issue but for the life of me I can not figure out what maybe the cause.
1. The recaptcha is not showing up at all on the form in chrome however if I view it in the widget it works just fine or in IE private mode. When i try to fill the form out it tell me that the recaptcha has not been verified however there is no box visable to check.
2. on the same page I am using the map widget. I created my apis and enabled the proper ones on googles side (same setup as I have on other sites I have used this) However I am seeing these errors in the console.
-You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.
-Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#missing-key-map-error
-Google Maps API warning: NoApiKeys https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys
i would prefer to send the link to the site in private if that is a option once you reply to have a peek.
Many thanks in advance
Cheers
More to this I left off…. All was working fine when I was developing the site. The issue happened when I migrated the site (used All-In-One WP
Migration as I have many times in the past). I also created new apis to be used for both the recaptha and the google maps apis.
However nothing will work now not matter what I try…. I get the errors I reported in my first post
Hi Cee,
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? Please note that you’ll need to manually mask your link – try something like goo.gl.
here is the site https://goo.gl/Gty4Ji
Navigate to the contact page as that is where the issue is occuring and only place on the site where the apis are used. One for the captha and one for the maps api.
Hi Cee,
Thanks. Would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click layout in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
Yes sir I can :-) https://u.teknik.io/y6JeY.json
What is weird is I didn’t notice any keys being listed twice. Also what is weird is if I load it up in IE11 the catpha works but not the map… In any other browser neither works :-(
Hi Cee,
Thanks. Based on the exported layout I suspect this issue is a plugin conflict. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
yep I will try again tomorrow I am on the flip side of the world about to head to bed.
I did try this last week with no luck but will do so again and report back. Many thanks my friend!
Mr. Alex you are correct there is a issue with the Modern Event Calendar v
1.8+
I reached out to them to see what maybe causing the issue as they use apis too but I made sure they match after I made the move and all work on their side.
