Getting nagged about installing recommended plugins

Open 4 replies generalquestion

I am getting repeated notices about installing recommended plugins – I don’t want the plugins which is why I have not installed them.
Why am I getting a notice on every admin page, even though I dismiss the notice..

How do I stop these permanently?
Thanks

    Hi Darren

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Which theme or plugin is adding the plugin recommendations?

    Hi Andrew
    The message is:

SiteOrigin Premium recommends the following plugins: Slidedeck and WP Legal Pages.
    Begin installing plugins

    The DIV code is:

SiteOrigin Premium recommends the following plugins: Slidedeck and WP Legal Pages.
    Begin installing plugins
    Dismiss this notice.

The theme is a child of Responsive Premium

    Thanks

    Whoops! The DIV code is:

    <div id="setting-error-tgmpa" class="notice update-nag settings-error is-dismissible">
    <strong><span style="display: block; margin: 0.5em 0.5em 0 0; clear: both;">SiteOrigin Premium recommends the following plugins: <em><a href="https://bedsastro.org.uk/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=plugin-information&plugin=slidedeck&TB_iframe=true&width=640&height=500" class="thickbox">Slidedeck</a></em> and <em><a href="https://bedsastro.org.uk/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=plugin-information&plugin=wplegalpages&TB_iframe=true&width=640&height=500" class="thickbox">WP Legal Pages</a></em>.</span>

    Hi Darren

    Thanks for the update.

Please, email [email protected] for all of your SiteOrigin-related queries so we can respond promptly.

Another theme or plugin is also using the http://tgmpluginactivation.com/ library. My guess is there is an error in their implementation of the library, which is why it’s showing up as though it’s a SiteOrigin recommendation. Do the recommendations perhaps relate to your theme?

We’d be happy to login and take a look. If you’d like us to do so, please email the above address with a link to this thread. We’ll go from there.

    Thanks again.

    Andrew
