    Hi do0rway

To my knowledge you wouldn’t be able to add Vantage to the Genesis framework. What are you looking to achieve? Theme updates will come from our side, Vantage is being regularly updated. For SEO we’d recommend: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/.

Perhaps send through some more info and we’ll do our best to advise a way forward.

thanks for your replay, i tell you what, i’m new to all the wordpress thing, but just read some stuff such as: that its better to have Genesis Framework cause when ever you have update to the theme or maybe to the wordpress (i’m not sure) so than all the customization of the theme will stay and not get reset.
    or its not the case?

secondly, yeah i wanted something to secure my wordpress with additional for some good SEO plugin. of course i will check your recommendation.

by the way, couldn’t find it any place, on your theme, any time i use the Visual Editor the title over there its an H1? and the Page Name its as well H1?

    thanks so much!!

The only time you’ll lose customisations during a theme update is if you’ve directly edited the code in theme files. In the event you want to edit theme files directly, at a code level, you’ll need to use a child theme: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes. If you just need to edit theme CSS then use Appearance > Custom CSS which is update safe: https://siteorigin.com/basics/modifying-theme-design-with-custom-css/. These points apply whether you’re using a framework or not.

If you’d like to run Genesis then you’ll need to use a theme built on that framework. Vantage isn’t.

In the case of SEO, WordPress SEO, the plugin I recommended is perhaps the most popular of all SEO plugins.

The page / post title uses an H1 tag.

    Hope that helps.
