Hi there,
I’m preparing myself (especially my website) for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and I’m wondering if there’s any personal identifiable data used by Site Origin (Theme = Sidney, Plugins = SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, SiteOrigin Widgets by CodeLights). Especially using the Site Origin Contact form sends those data, I think.
If so, where do I have to address a request for an order data processing contract?
Thanks in advance for any assistance. :-)
Kind regards,
Carmen
Hi Carmen,
The SiteOrgin Contact Form doesn’t store any data but it does email it to a different server so you will need to add a GDPR compliance checkbox – basically that the user consents to this data being emailed and that they understand that you don’t store the data, be sure to set this field as required. If you set the form to include a copy of the users IP address you’ll also need to mention that. Outside of that, there’s nothing else with our plugins that relate to GDPR.
Please note that Sydney isn’t one of our themes (it’s a theme by aThemes) and SiteOrigin Widgets by CodeLights isn’t one of our plugins either so I can’t comment on either product.
Hi Alex,
thank you very much for your response and also the additional notes regarding the used Theme and Widgets.
Kind reagrsd,
Carmen
