Gap under siteorigin slider sometimes disappears after page re-fresh

Having an odd thing happen after updating to wordpress 4.8.2. There’s a large gap under the siteorigin slider when loading the page (www.sycuan.com) on all browsers. When I re-fresh the page it usually goes away, but haven’t been able to pinpoint why it’s happening at all.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Evan,

Would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this please open up the linked page in the editor and click Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

    Hi Evan,

Please open the SiteOrigin Slider widget and then open the slide. Set the Maximum height to 1000 and save. How does that look?

    Hi Alex,

I had the height set to 350px, and noticed it didn’t do anything. Applying the 1000px height also doesn’t seem to make a difference. The page will have the gap, and then a re-fresh clears it, then another re-fresh will bring back the gap. It’s very unpredictable when it appears, but seems to appear more often than not.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Evan,

That’s odd – that should have worked. Hm. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
