I’ve not used a page builder before so forgive me if this is a stupid question.
Is it possible to create a full width row with a background colour or image.
However the content will be 900px wide with a margin: auto to place in the middle of the page
We can then use the builder to add columns etc within this 900px content area

I can definitely help you with this! :) It’s a little tricky at first but once you know how to do this it’ll be really easy in the future. Open up the page where you wish to have this and add a new row and then add a layout builder to that row.
Open the row that you just created and head over to the row styles sidebar. Open the layout settings group and set the row layout to full width stretched. This will be the full width of the page. Then open the design settings group and set up your design.
Once you’re finished editing the design settings click done and then open the layout builder. Head over to the widget styles sidebar and open the attribute settings group. Set the CSS to:
Once you’ve done that simply set your row up as desired and it’ll work as desired.
