Full width problem Windows Chrome

Hi

I’ve got a bizar problem… My client told me that on her laptop and on the computer of a friend of hers, her website ‘banners’ looks strange. Both are Windows computers and the problem is in the Chrome browser.

While on my Apple laptop and on my Windows laptop there is nothing wrong. In Chrome both looks good. So I can’t test what the problem is.

This is what my client sees: screen 1, screen 2 and screen 3.

And I just see the normal: screen 1 and screen 2.

Do you know what is going on here perhaps? The website is here.

Thank you
Bjorn

    Hi Bjorn

Kindly ask your client to test in an incognito window where hopefully browser extensions aren’t enabled. It could be an issue with a browser extension. We also can’t see the issue across computers and operating systems.

    Hi Andrew

I asked my client but the latest browser version is installed and viewing the website incognito does still give the problem. Same on the computer of her friend.

I’ve tested it on some other computers and asked colleagues and friends to visit the website too, but none of them saw problems. A very weird issue :). Certainly because I can’t see it myself on my computer.

I told my client it is more then likely a Chrome issue on their computers and there is not really something I can do. I asked her to wait and see. When there are more people telling her there is a problem with the title banner, I will contact you again if that’s ok.

    Kind regards

    Hi, I Work Here

So strange! I’m using macOS but we also tested on a Windows machine and tried various resolutions. If your client re-raises the issue, perhaps ask them to check the browser console for errors, here is how: https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis. If errors are present, ask them to screenshot and send to you.

    Cheers for now :)
