Hi, I’m having some formatting issues with the Post Carousel widget. The titles under each post are extremely spaced out and the images look distorted on the page. Is there any way to fix this?
Here’s a url to the page: http://www.connexchronicle.com/legal/
Thank you.
Hi Kwillard,
So the reason for the image distortion is due to those images being too small. The images need to be at least 272×162. The first image, Alex, is 100×100. That’s a large difference so the distortion makes sense. Please change to larger source images.
As for the line spacing. That’s a theme issue. Basically, your theme is adding 36px of line height to each and every line.
You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.
You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
Hi Alex,
I installed the SiteOrigin CSS Editor but when I try to click on the visual editor button, nothing happens.
Thanks,
Katie
Hi Katie,
Awkwardly, that sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
