I have a footer on my vantage site and I cannot recall where to go to edit it? I have looked and looked and cannot see a stop to make changes.

Thanks for reaching out.
Head over to Appearance > Widgets to edit footer widgets in the footer widget area.
Head over to Appearance > Theme Settings > General > Site Information Text to add things like Copyright text.

This page: http://schaafnet.com/lbss/?page_id=214 has no sidebar displayed. The sidebar is accessible from Appearance > Widgets > Sidebar. When you edit each page you can set the page template in the right column drop down menu. To get the sidebar displaying on that page and therefore the search widget, change the page template to “Default”.
