Fixing autoplay on video backgrounds causes misalignment on slider overlay

10 years ago · Last reply by Daniel 10 years ago

The video wasn’t autoplaying on the page:
http://thepointeapts.com/2015/sample-video-background/community/
so I implemented the fix below:

/*
  Vantage Theme, remove max width/layer centering.
  Usage: Copy and paste this code into your themes style.css file.
*/
body.responsive.layout-full #page-wrapper .metaslider .full-container,
.layout-full #page-wrapper .metaslider .full-container {
    max-width: none;
}

and then I unchecked the “stretch” option in settings, and
turned “Layer Scaling” to “Up and Down”.
It worked beautifully, but now all of the overlays are off-center on this page:

Any way I can fix this on the home page?

    It looks like I had the home page slider still set for “down only”. This appears to have fixed the alignment issue on the home page. It is still ignoring the slider heigth however, so if you do know of a resolution for this, it would be great. All sliders should be only 475 pixels tall.

    Thank you in advance for your response!

    Hi Webworks

    Please have a look at this documentation on how to set the height of your slider

    Link : https://siteorigin.com/vantage-documentation/getting-started/slider/

    Try that and let me know the outcome

    Cheers
